Box Score The Spalding University women's soccer team scored three second half goals erasing a 1-0 halftime deficit to beat Eureka College 3-1 to win their second game in three days.
Eureka got on the board first when Rachael Leszczynski scored a goal in the fourth minute of play. Despite taking six shots on goal the Golden Eagles trailed 1-0 at halftime.
Dee Dee Sliter scored SU's first goal of the game when she took a pass from
Alyssa Logan and fired it past Eureka goalkeeper Vickey Benhart to tie the score 1-1.
Spalding took a 2-1 lead when
Katie Ballard slotted the game winner at the 55:54 mark. Ballard tallied her second goal of the match ten minutes later off another Logan assist to make the score 3-1 at the final whistle.
With the win SU improves to 4-4-1 overall and 2-1-0 in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) play.
The Lady Eagles will be back in action Tuesday, October 8 when they host Centre College. Kick-off is 6:00 p.m., ET at Champions Trace.
