Omar Vasquez

Omar is in his second year of directing the Eagle Excellence Program.

Omar has a Master’s degree in Counseling with a specialization in Sport Psychology from Boston University and completed his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at UC Berkeley. Omar has a passion for working with teens, emerging adults, and adults, with research interests spanning sport psychology, stress and anxiety, collegiate student mental health, and health psychology.

Clinically, Omar has worked in multiple settings, including community-based, college counseling, eating disorder treatment, and private practice settings, treating a variety of presenting concerns such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, behavioral disorders, and trauma. Omar also enjoys working with athletes and performers, both with clinical and performance-related challenges. Omar is a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) through the Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP).
