Lisa Bash-DeFrees is entering her 22nd year with the SU Athletic Department. Over the past 22 years, Bash-DeFrees has been an integral component in Spalding's transition to the NCAA and growth to 19 varsity sports serving in a multitude of roles within athletic department. She is the Associate Athletic Director and the Senior Woman Administrator. She assists in the daily operations of the department, helps with the needs of the student athletes, oversees fundraising, marketing, budgetary matters, compliance, competition, game administration, and needs staff and of the coaches. Lisa is a native of Louisville, Kentucky and 1989 graduate of Presentation Academy in downtown Louisville. Bash-DeFrees is a 1994 graduate of the Social Work program at Spalding University and a 1996 graduate of the Master’s in Social Work program at the University of Louisville. She resides in Jeffersonville, Ind. with her husband Thomas E. DeFrees Jr.
