Diehl is in her first season as an assistant at Spalding after playing three seasons with the Golden Eagles from 2014-16.
As a player Diehl had an impressive career being named the SLIAC Player of the Year in 2016, as well as earning SLIAC First Team All-Conference honors twice (2015, 2016) and being named SLIAC Second Team All-Conference in 2014. In her three years at SU, Diehl totaled 918 kills with a .387 career hitting percentage. Diehl was also a force at the net tallying 103 total blocks.
Prior to coming to Spalding, Jessica played at Assumption High School under the direction of legendary coach Ron Kordes. While at Assumption Jessica was a part of Rockets teams that won three-consecutive Kentucky High School State Championships ('04, '05, '06), as well as a High School National Championship in 2005. Â
