Heather Lobas, a former NCAA Division I women’s lacrosse standout, was named the Spalding women's lacrosse assistant coach in the fall of 2023.
Lobas had a decorated career at Gardner-Webb University as a student-athlete. She was a three-time All-Big South honoree and made the Big South Presidential Honor Roll every year at GWU. Lobas also served as team captain for the 2023 season.
She finished her college playing career second in GWU history with 97 caused turnovers which was good for seventh in the Big South record books. Lobas put herself in the GWU record book one final time in 2023 with her single-season caused turnover mark putting her fourth in program history.
The new SU assistant has also spent time as a clinic assistant for ULAX Winter Clinics. She instructed high school student-athletes in various lacrosse skills at annual camps.
A Huntingtown, Md. native, Lobas holds both a bachelor's degree in biology with a concentration in bio-med and a master’s degree in business administration from Gardner-Webb.
