2016 Season
In his first season as a Golden Eagle, Hussein appeared in 19 games and started in 15 throughout the season. He earned a total of 30 points with 13 goals and four assists. He was ranked 2^nd in the conference for goals, points, and shots. He was also ranked 4^th in the conference for number of game winning goals. Hussein was awarded SLIAC Offensive Player of the week for his four goals and three assists that helped the Golden Eagles pick up two conference wins. Hussein was also recognized as the SLIAC Offensive Player of the Year, SLIAC Newcomer of the Year, and SLIAC First Team All-Conference member.
