Coach Edwards enters into his second season as a volunteer assistant with the Golden Eagles.
Prior to joing SU, Edwards spent four seasons as the head men's soccer coach at Adrian College, a NCAA Division III school in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA). A former goalkeeper at the University of Louisville, Edwards led Adrian to its most successful season in program history in 2017. Adrian had a second-place finish in the MIAA and qualified for its second appearance in the conference tournament, the first appearance coming 2016. The team also made its first appearance in the MIAA men's soccer championship game this past fall. Prior to his time at Adrian, Charlie served as an assistant coach at three NCAA Division I programs, including Bowling Green State University, the University of Dayton, and the University of Central Florida. Edwards recently returned to Louisville to be closer to family.
