Jackson Maurer returns for his third year as a member of the Spalding Men’s Lacrosse coaching staff. A native of Michigan, Maurer brings experience as a player and a coach along with a passion for student-athlete development.
Coach Maurer is a graduate of Ferris State University where he played on the Men’s club team, serving as both captain and president. Playing a variety of positions led to an interest in defensive systems as well as face-off skills and tactics.
Maurer began coaching as a volunteer assistant at the high school level in Michigan as a volunteer assistant while attending graduate school. He then moved to Owensboro KY where he continued coaching high school lacrosse.
Since moving to Louisville in 2024 Coach Maurer has worked as a pharmacist in addition to his position with the Golden Eagles. He and his wife Averi reside in the Old Louisville neighborhood with their dog and cat.
