Head Coach Stephen Gray enters his 5th season at the helm of the Spalding Track & Cross-Country program.

• 65 SLIAC All-Conference Track 

• 28 School Records broken 

• 141 top 5 all-time performances in program history

• 13 SLIAC Conference champions 

• First female national qualifier in program history 

• First Men’s indoor Individual conference champion in program history 

PRIOR TO SPALDING 
A Louisville native, Coach Gray came to Spalding after spending one year as the volunteer Assistant Coach at Brescia College. 
 
While at Brescia, Gray saw four school records broken by his throwers and 13 top five performances in program history notched. He coached three all-conference honorees for the Bearcats. 
 
Before Brescia Gray spent 3 years at Thomas More University where he also saw success. During those 3 years, nine school records were broken and the Saints had three Mid-South Conference champions, four all-conference honorees, and eight all-academic conference awardees at TMU. 
 
As an athlete at union Commonwealth University, Gray was a two-time Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) track & field champion, with wins in both the hammer throw and shotput. Gray was named the AAC Athlete of the Year in 2017 and made the AAC all-conference team 11 times. 
 
PERSONAL 
Gray resides in Louisville with his wife, Hannah Gray, and their dog Coach.
