Cash’s baseball experience started at Jeffersonville High School from 1978 to 1981. He played on the 1980 state finalist team under Hall of Fame Coach Don Poole. He played at Vincennes University from 1981 to 1983 as a catcher under Hall of Fame coach Jerry Blemker.
Cash retired from a successful sales career in June 2018 and began volunteering his time with the Bellarmine Knights baseball team in 2019. Prior to Bellarmine's rise to Division I and the ASUN Conference in 2021, Cash helped lead the Knights to the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament title in 2019 along with a berth in the DII NCAA Tournament. Cash was with Bellarmine thru 2022 season.
Cash resides in Louisville with his wife, Jenny. They have two daughters, two granddaughters and 1st grandson expected in March of 2026.
