LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Spalding University used a commanding team effort to earn a 65–35 victory over Eureka, jumping out early and never relinquishing control.
TURNING POINT
The Golden Eagles' balanced attack was led by
Nicole Hollowell, who paced the team with 20 points on efficient shooting, while
Zaneiya Batiste added 15 points and contributed on the boards in a physical performance inside.
Additional scoring came from
Anastasia Dowlen and
Ma'Kaylia Lute, each chipping in 6 points, as Spalding spread the offense and forced defensive miscues. The Eagles shot 42.2% from the field and 28.6% from three, converting well on free throws (7-of-8) and dominating the rebounding battle (32 total boards), which helped fuel transition opportunities and limit second-chance points. Spalding's defense held Eureka to just 35 points, controlling the paint and applying pressure all four quarters in a complete win that improves their conference standing.
