From the opening whistle, Spalding asserted dominance, with

Karolyn Lighthall, giving Spalding a quick 2–0 lead that set the tone for the rest of the match. After a scoreless stretch, the Golden Eagles exploded in the second half with four goals in a 13-minute span. Creg found the net twice, first in the 68th minute assisted by Livingston and again less than a minute later with a setup from
Alyssa Ochsner. Lighthall continued her strong day by scoring in the 75th minute off a pass from
Melaney Frick, before Frick closed out the scoring herself in the 81st minute with Lighthall returning the favor with an assist.
The offensive onslaught was matched by a suffocating defense, limiting Asbury to just three total shots—none on goal. Spalding, by contrast, fired off 15 shots with nine on target, showcasing their efficiency in the final third. Goalkeeper
Sophie Young-Neawedde earned the clean sheet, playing all 90 minutes without facing a shot on goal.
