Baseball remains undefeated in SLIAC play; Offense tallies 31 runs

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – On Wednesday, Spalding baseball hosted Principia College. Spalding won both games by massive margins.

Spalding improved to 19-7 (8-0 SLIAC) on the season, while the Panthers to 2-21 (0-8 SLIAC).

GAME ONE - SPALDING 13, PRINCIPIA 3
The Golden Eagles wasted no time jumping in front, scoring early and often to build a comfortable lead. Spalding's offense stayed hot throughout the game, stringing together quality at-bats and capitalizing on scoring chances to pull away. Spalding's pitching staff held Principia in check on the mound, allowing just three runs over seven innings. The Golden Eagles played clean defense behind their pitchers and controlled the game from start to finish. The dominant performance gave Spalding a strong start to the day as they looked to keep the momentum rolling in game two of the doubleheader.

GAME TWO - SPALDING 18, PRINCIPIA 2
In their second doubleheader game, the Spalding University Golden Eagles continued their offensive dominance, defeating Principia College 18-2 in a seven-inning contest. This victory extended Spalding's winning streak and solidified their strong position in conference play.​ Spalding's offense erupted early, scoring multiple runs in the second and third innings to establish a commanding lead. The Golden Eagles showcased a balanced attack, with contributions from various players throughout the lineup.​ Cameron Rayborn and Andrew Harbison delivered solid performances on the mound, limiting Principia to just two runs over seven innings. The defense also played a key role, turning timely double plays and making crucial outs to stifle any potential rallies from Principia.​

GOLDEN EAGLE NOTES NEXT FOR SPALDING 
Spalding will travel to MUW for an SLIAC matchup on Wednesday. The first pitch is at noon Eastern Time.
