ROCHESTER, Ny. – Freshman
Eryn Rataiczak etched her name into the record books with a historic performance at the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) Championships, securing her place at the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships on March 14.
Competing in the pole vault event at the SLIAC Championships, Rataiczak delivered an outstanding performance, clearing a height of 3.48 meters to claim first place overall. Her vault secured her the conference title and cemented her status as the first female athlete in school history to qualify for the NCAA D-III Indoor National Championships—a remarkable feat for a freshman.
At the NCAA Indoor National Championships, Rataiczak showcased her determination on the national stage, finishing 20th in the country with a vault of 3.47 meters. Though slightly below her conference-winning mark, her performance was strong in a highly competitive field of the nation's top Division III pole vaulters.
With this historic achievement in her first collegiate season, Rataiczak has set a new standard for the program and established herself as a rising star. Her qualification for nationals marks a significant milestone, and with years of competition ahead, she will look to build upon this success and continue making history.
