LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Spalding men's basketball delivered one of its most complete performances of the season last night, rolling past Asbury 85–65 at Derek Smith Gymnasium.
TURNING POINT
The Golden Eagles set the tone early with efficient shooting and active defense, building a 43–31 halftime lead before controlling the second half with the same steady rhythm. Spalding pushed the margin to 20 by the final buzzer, capitalizing on turnovers, winning the battle in the paint, and getting strong contributions from both the starters and the bench.
Dawsyn Miller led the way with a standout 20-point effort, knocking down shots from all levels and sparking the offense throughout the night.
Kameron Jones and
Marlin Byron each added 11 points, while
Devonte McCampbell turned in a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds, anchoring Spalding on the glass. Asbury, still searching for its first win of the season, had moments of rhythm but couldn't keep up with Spalding's efficiency, especially from beyond the arc where the Eagles shot over 42 percent. The victory pushes Spalding to 4–4 on the year and gives them momentum as they continue their season.
