HANOVER, Ind. – Spalding baseball traveled to Hanover College on Tuesday. SU took the win on the road, 11-8.
The Golden Eagles moved to 27-10, while the Panthers fell to 24-12.

The Panthers got on the board first in the bottom of the second inning, grabbing two runs, making it 2-0. The Golden Eagles had a great response as they had a rally at the top of the third.
Hunter Strong struck first as he hit a sacrifice RBI, allowing
Michael Speck to score.
Jacob Spanyer followed with an RBI double to left field.
Evan Fisher finished the inning with a sacrifice fly to right field for an RBI. SU took the lead, 3-2.
In the top of the fourth, Strong pushed SU above the Panthers. He hit a grand slam to give Spalding a 7-2 advantage. Hanover snagged two runs of their own in the bottom of the fourth, making it 7-4.
As the next two innings went by, it reached the top of the seventh.
Matthew McDowell tallied a two-RBI double to center field, making it 9-4 in favor of SU. A balk by the Panthers pitcher allowed McDowell to score. Fisher snagged an RBI of his own at the end of the inning by hitting a sacrifice fly. The Golden Eagles extended their lead to 11-4.
Hanover did all it could to fight back in this one. In the next two innings, they tallied four runs. It wasn't enough, and SU took the win, 11-8.
