ELSAH, Ill. – Spalding women's soccer traveled to SLIAC opponent Principia on Saturday. SU took home the win, 1-0.

The Golden Eagles moved to 8-4-3 (3-2-2 SLIAC), while the Panthers fell to 3-9 (3-3 SLIAC).

TURNING POINT
The Golden Eagles began the first half with a full out attack. SU kept the pressure on the Panther's keeper for the majority of the first half. Spalding tallied nine shots and luckily on the ninth shot, SU found their groove. Taylor Zebarth broke the ice with her third goal of the season. Kelli Bergmark tallied her second assist on the season with the pass over to Zebarth. Spalding went into the half leading, 1-0.

In the second half, Spalding's defense and Olivia Bosch held strong. Principia tallied a couple shots on target, but Bosch came up with two big saves. It was a midfield battle for the rest of the game. SU held firm and took home the win, 1-0.
