BREVARD, N.C. - Spalding started the second season in the program's history with a 19-1 setback at Brevard College on Friday afternoon.
TURNING POINT
Gracie Bale scored the lone goal for the Golden Eagles in the contest. She found the back of the net, for the first time at SU, at 8:27 in the second quarter on an assist from Mahalia Clemente.
Isabella Mullins had a career day in goal for Spalding. The sophomore stopped a career-high 18 shots in her 60 minutes of action. She also picked up a team-high three ground balls.
