PRESTONSBURG, Ky. – Spalding University took home the second golf win of the season with a strong showing at the UPike Fall Invite.
Kendall Hale carded two 74s to place third and earn all-tournament honors. Joining Hale on the all-tournament team was
Nolan Keeler. The junior shot 73-78—151 which earned him fourth place. The Golden Eagles slotted in three more golfers in the top 15. The trio was
Andrew Bennett (79-76—155) tied for eighth,
Taylor Coleman (78-77—155) also tied for eighth, and
Coby Johnson (79-79—158) who ended tied for 12th place.
Spalding had an invite-winning team score of 609. Host University of Pikeville finished in second place with a score of 623. Shawnee State tallied a 627 to finish third
.Asbury Match Play is next for SU. They travel to Danville on Friday, October 14.
