LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding University Women's Soccer team triumphs in season opener against Berea College.
TURNING POINT
The Golden Eagles took an early advantage in the first half by goals by Kara Krueger and Baeli Young, with assists from Young and Melaney Frick respectfully, putting Spalding out to a 2-0 lead within the first 10 minutes. To round off the first half Young nets her second goal of the game.as a ball found the back of the net. The Golden Eagles would keep the pressure on the Mountaineers as a goal from Amanda Thornsberry with another assist from Young. And within the last minute of the game Young would again net another goal for the Golden Eagles with an assist this time by Juli Nelson. This last goal by Young would net her her first hat trick of the season.
