LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Spalding University names
Taryn Glass Head Women's Volleyball Coach, announced Athletic Director
Roger Burkman.
When asked about the opportunity Coach Glass stated, "I am super excited for this opportunity to lead and support this great group of young ladies." "Being a coach is much bigger than the game itself, it's the impact that you leave on a student-athletes life that makes it all worth it," finished Glass.
Coach Glass, a Louisville, Ky. native, was an assistant coach within the Spalding program under previous head coach, Cheneta Robinson. This past season the Golden Eagles finished third in the SLIAC and saw freshman
Jayda Branch earn SLIAC Newcomer of the Year. In addition to coaching at Spalding, Glass has coached at the club and high school level. Glass coaches club volleyball at the Union Volleyball Club in New Albany, Ind. where she led her teams to numerous tournament championships the past two years, and coached high school volleyball at Pleasure Ridge Park High School in Louisville, Ky.
Prior to coaching, Glass played collegiate volleyball at Transylvania University in Lexington, Ky. where in 2019 she helped lead the program to its first HCAC Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance.
