LOUISVILLE, KY. - Spalding Men's Soccer earned their first conference and home win of the season, 6-1.

The action started early in the first half with the shot of
Joaquin Flores with the assist from
Humberto Sanchez, found its way to the back of the net. Then captain
Caleb Jackson netted him self a goal from the corner kick assist from Sanchez. Both teams were trading shots for the remainder of the first half.
When the second half started the Golden Eagles continued to further their lead against the Beavers. Just as in the first half, Flores netted the first goal of the half but this time it was assisted by
Chadrack Mulondani.
The bulk of the action happened in the last 10 minutes of the game, where the Golden Eagles netted 3 goals to secure their win over the Beavers from Blackburn. Those goals were made from Sanchez, Mulondani and
Xander Shelby with an assist from Ramon Adil. Â

- Flores netted his first brace of the season.
- This is both the first home game win but also the first conference win for the Golden Eagles in 2022.
- The Golden Eagles led in the amount of shots were taken in the game, 27(15) by the Eagles compared to 7(3) for the Beavers.
