LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding University women's soccer team took on the Panthers of Hanover College to make up for the postponed match against Sewanee College. The Golden Eagles lost to the Hanover Panthers to extend their record to 2-2 on the season. 
 
The Spalding defense was able to keep the Panther offense to zero in the first half as the clock wound down to start the second. Within the 48^th minute, Hanover scored their first goal on a cross ball in the box to give them the 1-0 lead. Although the Golden Eagles had a chance for a penalty kick, the Panthers' goalie was able to save the shot to prevent a tie score. In the 81^st minute, the Panthers were able to extend their lead to 2-0. Three minutes later, Hanover would get another shot off to give them a 3-0 advantage over the Golden Eagles. The Panthers would outshoot the Golden Eagles 18-1 in the box as the Panthers pick up the win, 3-0. 
 
The Golden Eagles will hit the road and head to Greenville, Ill. to take on the Greenville College Panthers in the team's first SLIAC match-up at 9:00 pm ET.
