OXFORD, Oh. – The Spalding University men's basketball team picked up their 8
th loss this season on the road against Miami (Oh). The Golden Eagles extend their record to 2-8 on the season.
In the beginning of the first half, the Red Hawks would go on a 12-3 run as their offense would fire up. Miami would continue to extend their lead as the first half ends with a score of 23-46 in favor of the Red Hawks. The Golden Eagles would try to chip away at the lead coming out of the half but would not avail as the Red Hawks would come out with the win, 80-56.
Jacoby Johnson would lead the Golden Eagles with 11 points, two assists, and two rebounds as
Maxton Campbell picks up 10 points and six rebounds while
Tylan Mann added 10 points, three rebounds, and one assist.
Isaiah Lockard also had 10 points while grabbing four boards.
Up next, the Golden Eagles will travel to Atlanta, Ga. to compete in the Oglethorpe Classic for a two-day tournament with their first game on Wednesday, December 29
th at 2:00 pm ET against Oglethorpe.
