WOOSTER, Oh. – The Spalding University men's basketball team completes the Wooster Classic with a win against Saint Vincent to improve to 2-4 on the season.
The Bearcats would quickly top the Golden Eagles halfway through the first half as they would go on an 8-2 run to give them a ten-point lead. Spalding would make their way back up to the lead as they went on an 11-4 run of their own to tie the score at 24. As the minutes wound down, a layup in the paint by
Maxton Campbell would put Spalding down by just three heading into the half. Entering the second half, Spalding would take the lead on a three pointer by
Brandin Obidike. Despite being down by eight, the Golden Eagles would battle their way back to take the lead and the win, 67-63.
Christian Stewart recorded a double double with 22 points and 12 rebounds as
Troy Amanor puts up 10 more with six rebounds.
