LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding men's soccer team score three first half goals to hold off late push to Blackburn, 3-2, Saturday afternoon to improve to 7-5-1 overall and 6-2-0 in conference play.
 
Ethan Eckart put the Golden Eagles in front finding the back of the net in the 24^th minute off a feed from Ahmadou Gueye. Four minutes later, Gueye scored firing a shot past the keeper in the 28^th minute to extend the lead to 2-0. With just over five minutes to play in the first period, Eckart scored his second goal of the off a pass from Coen Beach to give Spalding a 3-0 lead heading into the half. The Beavers attack came out firing in the second half scoring goals in the 65^th and 90^th minute but their comeback attempt ran out of time falling, 3-2.
 
Trevor Massa earned the decision in the net tallying four saves while allowing two goals.
