LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding University volleyball team sweeps the Red Devils to improve to 6-3 in SLIAC play.
The Golden Eagle offense came out determined in the first set as they would take a four-point lead. The offense wouldn't stop there as the Golden Eagles took the first set 25-16. The second set would go point for point until Spalding would take advantage of Red Devil mistakes. The Golden Eagles would pull away at a kill by
Hannah Holland would seal the second set. The Spalding offense would continue to keep the pressure on the Eureka defense as they shut down the Red Devils in the third set, 25-13.
Jayda Branch led the team with 11 kills and 19 digs as
Mya Summers leads with 5 aces and 20 assists.
The Golden Eagles will travel to St. Louis, Mo. to take on the Griffins of Fontbonne Friday, October 22
nd at 6:00 pm ET.
