HOW IT HAPPENED
-The Griffins opened the game with an 11-3 run putting them up early. Spalding struggled at the offensive end, getting down 10-31 halfway through the 1st half. A free throw from Brian Tribble pulled Spalding within 14, but they just couldn't overcome the deficit. Behind 60% shooting from the field, Fontbonne was able to extend their lead to 23, going into halftime up 51-28.
-The Golden Eagles were able to get their offense going in the 2nd half, going 52.8% from the field, but the Griffins continued to shoot well going 64.5%. Marcus Montgomery and Mitchell Prince combined for 5-for-7 from beyond the arc in the 2nd half, and 10-for-14 overall, but it wouldn't be enough to overcome the Griffins' offensive efficiency, losing 73-101.
-Mitchell Prince led all scorers with 22 points. Marcus Montgomery added 20 points. Troy Amanor also contributed 12 points and 8 rebounds.
FOR THE FOES
Noah Coddington led the Griffins with 16 points.
