Golden Eagles roll past Principia

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding women's basketball team earns an impressive win over Principia, 98-30.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Eagles began the game strong with the first points of the game coming from a three-pointer by Breanna Anthony, followed by another three by Allison Just, and then Anthony drained another three. Spalding was playing a strong defense and went on a 45-point run before allowing Principia their first points of the game in the second quarter.
 
- Molly Thompson secured another three-pointer for the Eagles to extend the score to 50 to two going into the half.
 
- In the second half, the Golden Eagles offense stayed strong, however they allowed 28 points from the Panthers. Ultimately, Spalding ended the game with a final layup by Hannah Renfro, for Spalding to win 98-30.
 
- Megan Goeing led with 15 points and two rebounds. Molly Thompson also secured double digit points with 14 points and four rebounds. Breanna Anthony followed with 11 points and five rebounds. Hannah Renfro and Hunter Wright also provided 10 points each for the Golden Eagles.
 
FOR THE FOES
- Sophia Hathaway gained 12 points and five rebounds for the Panthers.
