CHICAGO, IL.. – The Golden Eagles falls to Coe in the first game of the NPU Tip-Off Tournament, then followed with a 62-40 win over Beloit.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In their game against Coe on Friday,
Maleah Hirn led the way in points with 12 total, followed by,
Hunter Wright with 10. In the first period it was back and forth with points going into the second period 16-16.
- In the second and third periods, they put up a fight staying within 10 points of Coe.
Breanna Anthony secured a three-pointer with 30 seconds left in the third period to go into the fourth period 47-53.
- The Kohawks took control of the game in the fourth quarter only allowing two points from the Eagles.
- On Saturdays game against Beloit, the Eagles started out strong with a three-pointer by
Megan Goeing in the first five seconds of the first period, followed quickly by another three by
Breanna Anthony.
- The Eagles were able to hold their lead through the entire game.
Hunter Wright led the way with ten points, nine rebounds, and three steals.
Allison Just and
Hannah Renfro were close behind with nine points each. Just provided two steals and Renfro with 8 rebounds.
