INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Spalding University women's track and field team traveled to the University of Indianapolis to compete at the Indianapolis Collegiate Challenge Saturday.

HIGHLIGHTS
- In distance events, freshman
Victoria Shedron led the way taking home 11
th place in the mile run with a time of 5:47.65.
- In the 400-meters,
Zahra Benmeka's time of 1:21.68 claimed 30
th, while
Haley Nestor placed 31
st in 800-meters with a time of 2:55.01
- Senior
Kelsey Hamilton placed 30
th for the 60-meter dash with a time of 8:46. Hamilton also compete in the 200 along with Leeanne Wepler. Hamilton clocked a time of 28.82 taking 40
th place, while Weppler crossed the finish line in 29.79 placing 53
rd.
- The weight throw, two Golden Eagles placed in the top five. Junior
Taylor Bent whose distance of 11.96 meters placed 21
st, while freshman
Dawson Kemme threw 8.58-meters taking 34
th place. In the shot put, freshman Emily Erickson hit a mark of 7.87-meters to take 32
nd place, while Kemme's mark of 6.93 meters was good enough to claim 37
th place.
