Golden Eagles Dominant in Opener Topping Brescia, 4-1

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding women's soccer team opened the season with a dominant win over Brescia at home Saturday afternoon defeating the Bearcats, 4-1. The win improves the Golden Eagles to 1-0-0 on the season

HOW IT HAPPENED
⁃ The Golden Eagles scored four goals for the match. The first coming from Ali Bumblis (3'), followed by a pair of goals by Kelsie Huffman (8') (62'), and capped off by a Taylor Skrine goal in the 86th.
⁃ Spalding tallied a total of 23 shots with 14 coming on target.
⁃ Ashlee Wilson (1-0-0) earned the win, allowing one goal, while collecting with three saves.

FOR THE FOES
⁃ Brescia's lone goal came from Allison Chappel (26')
