NEW ALBANY, Ind. – In their first match of the day, The Golden Eagles went the distance, but fell to Fontbonne, 3-2. After losing the first set 25-22, Spalding won two straight, but dropped the final two 25-17, 15-11.

HOW IT HAPPENED
⁃ Claudia Spivey led the attack for Spalding with 13 kills followed by Haley Just with 10, while Mya Summers dished out 34 assists.
⁃ Dawson Kemme anchored the defense with 17 digs, and Summers contributed 15 as well

FOR THE FOES
⁃ The Griffins attack was led by Maura Raburn with 13 kills followed by Victoria Curtice, Megan McKenzie, and Kristina Eason who each finished with 11.
⁃ Megan Schallar passed out 24 assists followed by Abby Grumich with 20.
⁃ Sarah Bogerding led the defense with 14 digs.
