Late Goal Pushes SU Past Asbury, 2-1

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding women's soccer team pulled out a close victory Friday night defeating Asbury, 2-1. With the win, the Golden Eagles record improves to 3-1-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Golden Eagles scored a pair of goals for the game, the first coming from freshman Avery O'Hara (25'), her first of the season and collegiate career, assisted by Bailey Whitehead. The second goal was put away by Meghan Ogden (86'), her first of the season.
Spalding tallied four shots for the game, with all four coming in on target.
Goalkeeper Ashlee Wilson (2-0-0) earned the win allowing one goal and finished the night with eight saves.

FOR THE FOES

The lone goal for Asbury was scored by Devon Long (80') assisted by Meredith Brumfield.
Asbury had 16 shots on the night, with nine coming in on target.
Goalkeeper Carley Pyles suffered the loss allowing two goals for the match and ended with two saves.
