HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spalding opened the game hot, knocking down five of their first six shots to take a 10-8 lead on a layup in transition by Hunter Wright. SU extended their lead to seven points following an Allison Just layup with 52 seconds left in the half and lead 22-17 after one quarter.

- A Just layup to open the third quarter jumpstarted an 8-2 SU run pushing the Golden Eagles to a 50-41 lead 2:30 into the period. Hanover responded with a 13-3 run to take a 54-53 lead, but back-to-back Breanna Anthony three-pointers put SU in front, 59-56, heading into the fourth quarter.

- Despite leading the majority of the game, Spalding struggled to find a basket in the fourth quarter allowing Hanover to pull ahead, 72-71, following an Alexis Nall layup with 45 seconds to play. In the final minute, the Golden Eagles had opportunities to take the lead and tie the game from the free throw line. However, Tse Gahagan went 1-of-2 to leave the score tied, 72-72, and Allison just went 1-of-2 with seven seconds remaining allowing Hanover to escape with the 74-73 victory.
