Women's Soccer Storms Past MacMurray, 4-0

JACKSONVILLE, Ill. – The Spalding women's soccer team earned an impressive 4-0 road victory over conference foe, MacMurray College yesterday afternoon. With the win, the Golden Eagles now improve to 1-1-0 in SLIAC play and 4-3-1 overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Freshman, Andrea Hayden led the charge offensively for the Golden Eagles, scoring her first two collegiate goals (30', 70'). Junior, Abbi Quinn (22') and senior, Lauren Locke (26') contributed to the scoring as well, with each of them tallying their first goals of the campaign.
- Spalding took 16 shots in the match, 11 of which hitting on target.
- Sophomore goalkeeper, Ashlee Wilson (3-1-0) earned her first shutout victory of the season, making one save in 90 minutes of play.
 
FOR THE FOES
- MacMurray struggled offensively, remaining scoreless on six shots, with only one coming on target.
- Freshman goalkeeper, Kayla Enochs (2-5-0), allowed four goals and corralled seven saves for the Highlanders.
 
UP NEXT
- The Golden Eagles will play the latter of their two-game road trip when they take on another SLIAC opponent, Blackburn College Saturday afternoon at 2 pm in Carlinville, Ill.
