MT. PLEASANT, Iowa – The Spalding University volleyball team wrapped up the 2018 season losing in a five set battle against Iowa Wesleyan.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Eagles looked to be in the drivers season taking the first two sets, 25-22 and 25-21, but the Tigers swept the next three 25-20, 25-16 and 15-7 to steal the victory.
- Senior
Amanda Patterson led the Golden Eagle offense with 13 kills, while
Claudia Spivey also finished in double figures adding 10 kills.
Emily Erickson facilitated the offense passing out a team-high 20 assists, while
Mya Summers distributed 13 assists.

Maddie Rosendaul anchored the back row with 22 digs, while freshman
Haley Just added 15 digs and Summers chipped in with 14 digs. Spivey led the Golden Eagles at the net finishing the match with a team-best four blocks.
FOR THE FOES
- Lida Landre (17) and Sydney Ellsworth (16) combined for 33 kills, while Paige Kammerer facilitated the offense with 31 assists.
- Jenna Murphy led the defense with 32 digs, while Jordan Miller Kammerer had two blocks apiece.
