LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding volleyball team suffered a tough loss Tuesday evening, falling to the Franklin Grizzlies, 3-0. Franklin took the first set by a close margin 25-23, and won the second set 25-11. The Golden Eagles fought hard in the final set but were outscored, 29-27. With the loss, Spalding's record moves to 1-17.

HOW IT HAPPENED
⁃ Samantha Robison spearheaded the Spalding offense and had a game high 15 kills, while Mya Summers dished out 24 assists.
⁃ Haley Just anchored the defense with 12 digs. Dawson Kemme had 11 digs and Koti Weaver added 10.
⁃ Claudia Spivey finished the game with four blocks at the net.

FOR THE FOES
⁃ Abigail Sewell led the offense for the Grizzlies with 11 kills and Maria Hersnel ended the game with 10. Mackenzie Waldren managed to pass out 36 assists.
⁃ For the defense, Libby Sthal had 19 digs on the night and Timber Falin added four blocks.
