LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding women's soccer team dropped a close one Thursday evening to the Berea Mountaineers, 0-1. The Golden Eagles battled hard to overtime but after a couple miscues, came up short. With the loss Spalding's record moves to 5-5-1 and 2-2-0 in SLIAC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Kayla Strehle (2-3-1) suffered the loss, while gathering nine saves on the night and allowed a single goal for the match in overtime.

⁃ The lone goal of the game was scored by Sahara Perez (92') as a result of the free kick awarded for a Spalding foul in overtime.
⁃ Goalie Jade Fulkerson had six saves earning the win, while Amber Follin tallied one save in the first half.
