LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding men's basketball had their four-game winning streak snapped falling at Greenville, 126-97, Monday night at H.J. Long Gymnasium. The Golden Eagles dropped to 8-8 on the season and 6-4 in SLIAC competition, while Greenville improved to 11-6 and 8-2 in SLIAC play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Panthers raced out to a 25-4 lead to start the game. Marcus Montgomery converted an and-one to cut Spalding's deficit to 15 points with 11 minutes remaining in the first half. However, Greenville continued to pull away increasing their lead to 26 points at halftime. The Panthers continued to pour it on in the second half extending their lead to 39 points with 3:33 to play. Spalding outscored Greenville 15-5 over the remainder of the game, but the margin was too much to overcome as SU fell 126-97.
Marcus Montgomery dropped in a career-high 25 points shooting 11-of-12 at from the field, while pulling down six rebounds. Brandon Williams and Brendan Holt scored 14 points apiece, and freshman big man Braeden Warren scored a career-high 13 points.
FOR THE FOES
The Panthers had six players finish in double figures led by Daniel Saeli and Vari Bonney's 16 points apiece.
