Danville, Ky. – Spalding University suffered a 3-2 loss against Berea College at Alumni Gym. Spalding dropped the first two sets to the Mountaineers, bounced back to take the next two, but fell short of the comeback losing the fifth set, 15-13.

- Ashley Chase led Spalding's offense with 16 kills, Morgan Berning added 15 kills, and Theresa Kwarciany tallied nine kills in her first collegiate action.
- SU finished the match with 11 aces to Berea's seven. Weaver had a team-high three aces, while Jill Dunagan and Amanda Patterson had two each.
- Spalding tallied three blocks, while Berea finished with six. Claudia Spivey patrolled the net for the Golden Eagles with three block assists.
- The Golden Eagles finished with 58 assists. Maddie Rosendaul finished with a team-high 29 assists, and Kaitlin Hall passed out 24 assists.
- Spalding finished with 61 digs during the match. Amanda Patterson led the team with 14 digs, while Kendra Mahan and Koti Weaver finished with 10 a piece.
