Men's Soccer Scores Four 2nd Half Goals to Beat Franklin, 5-3

JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. – The Spalding University men's soccer team scored four second half goals defeating Franklin College, 5-3, Monday night improving to 3-3-0 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Spalding bagged five goals Monday night with the goals coming from Trustun Ashburn (40'), Tenko Kono (49'), Kornell Hilliard (60'), Jacob Teasley (61'), and Mirza Ugarak (75')
- SU looked to be in trouble early, falling behing 2-0, but Ashburn's goal cut the deficit to one at halftime. The second half if was all Spalding as the Golden Eagles went on to add four goals to earn the victory.
- The Golden Eagles dominated possession outshooting the Grizzlies 21 to 11, and 15 to 7 in shots on goal.
- Nick Lucas (3-3-0), made four saves on the seven shots on target from Franklin College

FOR THE FOES
- Franklin scored three goals coming from Sam Stallsmith (16'), Andrew Vidal (30') and Jordan Thomas (PK 85') following a foul in the box from Finn Kola
- Garrett Belden (0-7-0), takes the loss in goal for Franklin after allowing four of the five goals and also receiving a yellow card
