LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Spalding University men's basketball team edged Centre College in a thriller, 68-66, Wednesday night at Derek Smith Gymnasium. With the win, the Golden Eagles improve to 4-5 on the season, while Centre drops to 2-5.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Golden Eagles and Colonels battled back and forth exchanging the lead 11 times in the game. The margin stayed within five points throughout the first half. A
Rylan Rowe jumper sent the Golden Eagles into the locker at the half leading, 28-25. Spalding led most of the second half, but a Tucker Sine three-pointer with 3:08 remaining put the Colonels in front, 62-60. Six straight points from
Cornelius Watts put SU back in front 66-64 and a pair of
Dominique Ellis free throws secured the victory for SU, 68-66.

Brandon Williams and
Dominique Ellis paced the Golden Eagles with 15 points apiece. Williams also added a team-high eight rebounds. Freshman
Marcus Montgomery added 12 points, while Watts scored nine points and passed out a team-high four assists.
- The Golden Eagles finished the game shooting 47.4% overall and 45% from beyond the arc.
FOR THE FOES
- Tucker Sine paced the Colonels with 12 points, Dawson Crump scored 11 points and Jacob Bates added 10.
- Centre finished the game shooting 39.7% overall and 30.8% from the three-point line.
