ELSAH, Ill. – The Spalding University volleyball team notched their first win of the season sweeping Blackburn, 3-0, to improve to 1-1 in SLIAC play.

KEYS TO THE MATCHLIMIT ATTACK ERRORS: The Golden Eagles limited their attack errors committing only six errors in 71 total attacks, while scoring 31 kills.
BALANCED ATTACK: Four SU players finished the match with five or more kills.
Victoria Heitzman and
Jessica Diehl led the attack. Heitzman finished with a match-high 11 kills with a .474 kill percentage, while Diehl tallied seven kills hitting .500 percent.
CONTROL THE NET: The Golden Eagles out-blocked the Beavers 9-4. Diehl led Spalding with five total blocks (2 solo/3 assists).
KILL PERCENTAGE: Spalding finished the match with a .352 kill percentage, while Blackburn hit -.025.
