ANDERSON, Ind. – The Spalding University women's track and field team capped off a solid indoor season with a 10th place finish at the Fred Wilt Invitational at Anderson University Saturday afternoon.

Krystina Perez and
Katie Suiters earned a couple top-5 finishes. Perez cleared 1.52 meters placing 3
rd in high jump. Suiters, a freshman from Indianapolis, Ind., PR'd in both shot put and weight throw, earning a 4th place finish in shot with a throw of 11.43 meters beating her previous person record by almost a foot. Suiters also threw a personal best of 10.28 meters in the weight throw.
Several distance and middle distance runners finished inside the top-10 in their races.
Kayla Payne and Racheal Cowles finished 3rd and 4th in the 5000m. Payne toppled the school record racing to the finish in 19:21.77, while Cowles finished nine seconds back with a time of 19:30.73.
Jenna Johnston earned a pair of top-10 finishes. Johnston ran a 2:38.76 in the 800 meter run placing 9th, as well as placing 10th in the one mile run (5:43.06).
Rachel Harreld also set two personal records running the one mile run in 6:33.88, and finishing the 800 meter run in 3:09.96.
