INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Spalding University women's track and field team had a solid outing at the Tom Hathaway Distance Carnival Saturday at UIndy.

Rachael Cowles set a new school record in the one mile run. Cowles ran the race in 5:36.97 placing 14th. Cowles also placed 19th in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:31.46.

Jenna Johnston had a solid showing in the 800 meter run clocking a time of 2:28.66 leading Spalding with a 14th place finish, and Kelly Weber ran a personal best with a time of 2:52.39.

Krystina Perez turned in 3rd place finish in the high jump clearing 1.58 m, and Whitney Schuyler finished 16th (2.90m) in the pole vault.  

The Lady Golden Eagles will be back in action Saturday, February 28 at the Fred Wilt Invitational at Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana.
