Spalding (5-7) was outhit .332 to .067 and gave up 10 service aces as they were swept 3-0 (18-25, 19-25, 10-25) at Franklin College (8-6) Wednesday evening.

Sophomore setter/outside hitter Katelyn Cosgrove paced the Golden Eagles with a team-high seven kills and nine assists. Sophomore setter Morgan Wilson passed out a team-high 14 assists, and freshman outside hitter Victoria Heitzman added six kills.

Junior libero Casey Wilkerson led the Spalding defense with 20 digs, while freshman middle hitter Erin Downs tallied one solo block and four block assists.

Up next, Spalding will return home to take on Westminster College on Saturday, September 28 at 11:00 a.m., ET in Derek Smith Gymnasium (DSG).
