The Spalding University volleyball team swept Eureka College 25-11, 25-23, 25-18 to improve to 8-9 overall and 3-4 in the SLIAC.

Victoria Heitzman led the Golden Eagle attack with six kills, while Morgan Wilson passed out a team-high 16 assists. Casey Wilkerson led the defense with 10 digs and freshman Erin Downs had 2.5 blocks.

Thea Mattingly, Katelyn Cosgrove, and E.C. Burkman recorded five kills each, Cosgrove also added 14 assists.

Up next, Spalding will play a tri-match at Webster University Saturday, October 12. The Golden Eagles will face Webster in the first match at 12:00 p.m., ET. SU will finish the day with Blackburn College at 2:00 p.m.
