The Spalding University volleyball team won both games of their quad-match today.

SU fell behind 2-1, but battled back to upset SLIAC leading Greenville College 3-2 (25-23, 20-25, 22-25, 25-23, 15-11) in the noon match.

Victoria Heitzman (Whitefield Academy) and E.C. Burkman (Sacred Heart Academy) both recorded double-doubles. Heitzman had a team-high 14 kills and 14 digs, while Burkman added 13 kills and a team-leading 26 digs.

The Golden Eagles blew past Eureka College in three sets 25-12, 25-19, 25-21 in the afternoon game.

Freshman Thea Mattingly (Mercy) paced the offensive attack with eight kills, and Morgan Wilson (Floyd Central) passed out 13 assists.

Casey Wilkerson (Male) led the defense with 15 digs.

Up next, the Golden Eagles will take on Iowa Wesleyan in a neutral site match at Fontbonne University. First serve is set for 8:00 p.m., ET.
