The Spalding University volleyball team defeated Hanover College 3-2 (25-15, 25-19, 24-26, 24-26, 15-10) Tuesday evening.

E.C. Burkman (Sacred Heart Academy) paced the Golden Eagles with a double-double, recording 16 kills and 10 digs.

Nicole Blevins led Hanover with 12 kills, while Kylie Justus added 15 digs.

The Golden Eagles will be back in action Thursday, October 3 when they resume SLIAC play at Webster University. The game is set to start at 8:00 p.m., ET.
